Session Rules and Dress Code
Our Session Rules and Dress Code were updated on August 17, 2025.
Please read these Session Rules and Dress Code carefully before enrolling in each session.
Session Rules
The Student(s) and the Teacher will:
- Actively participate in the session.
- Ex. The student will ask questions, answer questions, reply to the teacher, etc.
- Ex. The teacher will ask questions, answer questions, reply to the student(s), etc.
- Not use vulgar language (or curse words) when typing in the chat or when speaking.
- Bring a positive attitude to the Session.
- Be prepared for each Session. (Ex. Homework is complete, needed materials are gathered and ready to use, etc.)
- Be on time for the session.
- Support each other through positive words of encouragement.
- Provide an environment that is as distraction-free as possible, so everyone can concentrate on the material being taught and learned.
- Not answer phone calls, text messages or emails during the session (unless it's an emergency).
- Not be driving or operating a vehicle.
- Not be in a moving vehicle.
- Refrain from alcohol and/or any other substance that would cause impairment of one's own attention, focus, and alertness in preparation of and during the Session.
- Refrain from smoking and/or inhaling any substance that would cause impariment of one's own attention, focus, and alertness in preparation of and during the Session.
- Make the session a place of respite by not discussing anything regarding the pandemic, anything related to politics, anything related to religion, or anything on the news.
Additionally, the Student(s) will:
- Be open to receiving new information being taught.
- Be willing and able to learn.
- Understand that some questions that are asked are beyond the scope of the session or class, and may only be answered if there is time available at the end of the session.
- Not capture (by video, audio, screenshots, or any similar means) and not distribute any portion of the session.
- Note: You may take notes, but they may not be verbatum of the session. You are not permitted to distribute the information.
Dress Code
Let's dress for success (and avoid embarrassing moments).
The Student(s), Teacher and anyone else who happens to be in view of the camera will wear one of the two options:
- a top (a shirt, sweatshirt, and/or sweater) and bottoms (pants, shorts, skirt, or skort)
- a dress
Note: Please dress modestly.
Note: A sports bra is considered underwear and is not considered to be a shirt.
Note: Boxer shorts are considered to be underwear and are not considered to be shorts.
Note: Pajamas are considered to be sleepwear and are not considered to be a shirt, sweatshirt, sweater, pants, shorts, skirt, skort or dress.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not permitted in any session for any reason. Any Artificial Intelligence that is found to be used will be stopped immediately and removed from the session. The student using Artificial Intelligence (AI) will also be removed from the session and not permitted to finish the remaining session(s).
Consequences
Any student who does not obey the session rules will be removed from the session and will not be permitted to return to the remaining session(s).
Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Session Rules and Dress Code:
- "Company" (referred to as either "the Company, "We", "Us", or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Beyond the Music Classroom™, LLC.
- "Service" refers to the Website.
- "Session" refers to any online meeting, including group Sessions and individual Sessions that is offered on the Service.
- "Student" means the individual person enrolling in a Session.
- "Teacher" means the individual teaching the Session.
- "Website" refers to Beyond the Music Classroom™, accessible from https://www.beyondthemusicclassroom.com
Acknowledgement
These are the Session Rules and Dress Code governing the use of this Service and the agreement that operates between You and the Company. These Session Rules and Dress Code set the expectations of all users regarding enrolling in a Session.
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with these Session Rules and Dress Code. These Session Rules and Dress Code apply to everyone enrolling in a Session.
By enrolling in a Session, You agree to be bound by these Session Rules and Dress Code. If You disagree with any part of these Session Rules and Dress Code, then You may not enroll in a Session.
You represent that you are over the age of 18. The Company does not permit those under 18 to use the Service.
Your enrollment in a Session is also conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with all the other policies of the Company. Please read the all policies listed here.
Severability and Waiver
Severability
If any provision of these Session Rules and Dress Code is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver
Except as provided herein, the failure to exercise a right or to require performance of an obligation under these Session Rules and Dress Code shall not effect a party's ability to exercise such right or require such performance at any time thereafter nor shall be the waiver of a breach constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company and its employees harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys' fees) made against the Company by any third party due to or arising out of or in connection with your use of the Website.
Changes to These Session Rules and Dress Code
We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Session Rules and Dress Code at any time. If a revision is material, We will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at Our sole discretion.
By continuing to enroll and attend a Session after those revisions become effective, You agree to be bound by the revised Session Rules and Dress Code. If You do not agree to the new terms, in whole or in part, please stop using the website and the Service.
